This weekend sees the Toronto Eagles battle traditional rival the Broadview Hawks in the "Battle of the Big Birds."

The Eagles coming off a fantastic performance against the Guelph Gargoyles, which saw the Eagles crush them by 63 points, will be looking to continue on their winning ways.

Eagles coach Aaron Falcioni was very happy with his teams performance on the weekend "The way the boys grasped the new of style play on the weekend was very reassuring, I'm looking forward to their progression over the season."

The Hawks, who suffered a crushing defeat by the Etobicoke Kangaroos, will be looking to get back in the winners circle and with their star players hitting some good form will be ready for the weekends contest.

STRENGTHS
The Eagles are starting to embrace their new style of play and this is something other teams will have to be aware of. A hard running Eagles side is hard to stop, as was the case last week against the Gargoyles.

The Eagles were devastating around the field with their pace and run and with injured players returning soon this is an ominous sign for other teams in the league.

POTENTIAL WEAKNESSES

With injures hitting the Eagles early this season and player availability being limited the potential for play to break down on the field could be an issue.

With players such as Troy Marsh and Kevin Minaker coming back from injury as well as winger Salvatore Capoferri battling a virus over the past two rounds the club has been relying on veteran players to step up.

Good news for the Eagles is that replacement players have been performing well and are limiting the effects of the decreased roster.

AT THE SELECTION TABLE
With a shortened week, due to Sundays games in Guelph, training has been kept short and sharp this week. Eagles coach Aaron Falcioni has made sure that his best players are available and well rested for this crucial contest.

DANGERMAN
Kevin Minaker: Minakers game against Guelph was nothing short of brilliant. His hard running and commitment to get the ball was too much for the Gargoyles to handle. Being injured for almost all of the off season Minaker looks more focused on his football this season.

IT'S NOT GENERALLY KNOWN...
The Toronto Eagles haven’t lost to the Broadview Hawks in the regular season in over four years.
